APPROVAL OF SEATS AND COLINES |
Changing seats on motorcycles is not considered reform.
The SI line installation is considered reform and must comply with point 8.52 of the vehicle reform manual. It says that the number of seats in the vehicle should be changed by desinging it to the new number of seats
The cosmetic cover installation that hides the passenger seat is not considered reform.
When we say that the change of seat is not considered reform, we must ensure that no more elements have been modified/replaced such as: modification of the subchasis, change of handles, change of particle holders, etc., since the modification of any of them would imply the need for approval.
The colines may be approved provided that they do not have dangerous protrusions and the anchorage of the same is considered sufficient. The number of final seats of the bike will be conditioned on the shape and size.
Please note that in order not to have to approve this reform, the final result must not alter the original number of seats in the vehicle and must maintain the original measures.
If it is two-seater, that setting must be maintained.

In the case of seats, they are usually anchored to the original seats of the motorcycle.
In the case of the colines, it is recommended to install welded profiles or curves to the frame, which attach the seat to the metal structure of the bike.
This requires welding techniques to fix the profiles or curves, and then, by screwbox, secure the seat to the frame.
