    • Intake Step: the intake step on the cylinder, cylinder head or crankcase.
    • Intake tube: the part that attaches the carburetor or air control system to the cylinder, cylinder head or crankcase.

How to Interpret Regulations:

According to the regulations, the replacement of the filter(s) with others that modify the performance of the vehicle, as well as the removal of the original filter box, shall be considered reform.

Conical filters will always be considered as reform as they are understood to modify the performance of the motorcycle.

You can still take a look at all the ones we have available in our Air Filters section

How to proceed:

Today, almost all reform laboratories only allow you to approve air filters that have a TUV certificate that proves that they are tested for your motorcycle model.

If this TUV certificate is not available, it will be necessary to carry out tests in one of the few laboratories enabled for this purpose in Spain, with the approval process going very far.

While it's true that there are approved tapered filter kit for some types and models of motorcycles, make sure the one you're going to put on is right for your project.

Therefore, we recommend that in the event of this colourful reform, we retain the original filter box, as we may not be able to include air filters in our reform file.

Depending on your goal, you can use sports air filters, which are installed in your original filter box. These provide considerable improvement and will not give you the headaches of a reform.
